How It Started

No One Should Face
Diabetes Alone

Diabetes Wellness Foundation (DWF) Nigeria was founded in 2025 on a simple but urgent conviction: that no one should face diabetes alone — and that the right information, in the right hands, saves lives.

We are a CAC-registered non-profit serving communities across Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa. Our work is shaped by the voices of people living with diabetes, their families, and the healthcare workers who support them every day.

From structured education through our GEMS Programme to peer support groups and frontline research, we exist to bridge the gap between clinical guidance and real community life — in ways that are practical, culturally grounded, and accessible to all.
